3. Delete the history file

MySQL server has a history file, which can help you find the problem when the installation goes wrong. History files contain sensitive information, such as passwords. After the installation is successful, the history file is of no use, so you can use the cat /dev/null > ~/.mysql_history command to delete the contents of the file.
