Installing Apache

Install PHP5

sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5

sudo vi /var/www/testphp.php

Enter the following content in the file.

Install MySQL

sudo apt-get install mysql-server

mysql -u root

sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-auth-mysql php5-mysql phpmyadmin

Then generate a soft link to phpmyadmin:

cd /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/
sudo ln -s ../sites-available/phpmyadmin phpmyadmin

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
