Character.AI, has assumed the role of Interim CEO. Perella, a former longtime executive at Snap Inc., has been part of the
Character.AI core leadership team since mid-2023. These changes will be effective immediately.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we will continue to invest in our post-training capabilities, with the flexibility to use our own or externally available large language models. We are excited about the future of
Character.AI and are committed to serving our users through innovative products.

Character.AI continues to sail through its next phase of growth. While no shares of the company technically changed hands, Google will pay investors in
Character.AI the value of their equity at a $2.5 billion valuation.
