Git: clone download error based on Fedora 11

Question

Detailed log:

git clone https://github.com/jquery/jquery.git
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/sms/test/linux/jquery/.git/
fatal: https://github.com/jquery/jquery.git/info/refs download error -

在Fedora浏览器里直接打开git repo的链接没有问题，但试过几个repo的clone都是一样的问题。
