俄罗斯联邦反垄断局上周仍在对该交易进行审查，并要求利益相关方提交信息，而中国商务部也尚未批准该交易。
维德纽斯说：“这两个国家都是强大、自信而且对开源持有好态度的国家，他们都有权力和机会在这一事件上作出比欧盟更好的决策。”
中国政府已经加强了对跨国公司交易的反垄断审查力度，去年3月曾阻止了可口可乐收购汇源的交易，并对英博收购百威以及松下收购三洋的交易给出了限定条件。
维德纽斯是全球最受尊敬的开源软件开发者之一，他于去年离开Sun并创建了自己的数据库公司Monty Program Ab.Sun于2008年斥资10亿美元收购了MySQL.
欧盟委员会最初反对甲骨文收购Sun，认为对MySQL的收购将有碍数据库市场的竞争。但由于甲骨文的最大用户都认为此举不会妨碍竞争，因此该机构去年12月中旬透露，有可能会于1月27日审查截止日期到来时批准这一交易。
甲骨文曾表示，该公司对Sun的交易未完成前，Sun每个月都会损失1亿美元。收购完成后，甲骨文将从一家软件厂商转型为一站式企业解决方案提供商。（书聿）
