ADATA showcases XPG Nia handheld console: first equipped with LPCAMM2 memory, liftable screen, focusing on community transformation
According to news from this site on June 5, ADATA demonstrated an early prototype of the Nia game handheld console at the 2024 Taipei International Computer Show. Design
ADATA XPG Nia game console is designed with a front-facing web camera and a display that can tilt upward. It is convenient for users to switch viewing angles.
Internal design
One of the features of the XPG Nia handheld is its internal support for upgrades and modifications. There's a built-in M.2 2230 slot for user-reusable solid-state storage, and it's the first handheld computer to feature LPCAMM2 memory, which means you can also remove and replace the memory.
Community Modification
ADATA also plans to launch 3D design files and pinout information simultaneously after the Nia handheld is released, so that customers can create their own 3D printing casing or other accessories.
ADATA stated that this move is to follow the concept of "cyclic computing". If players no longer want to use the handheld console in the future, they can also remove the Nia's motherboard and replace it. Place into a new case and use as a desktop, wireless file server, media streamer, or other applications.
Specifications Not Yet Finalized
ADATA is still finalizing the design and specifications of the XPG Nia and is currently soliciting feedback from community users, prioritizing low cost and early shipment by using existing processors , or prioritize next-gen performance (which may mean delaying the release until early next year).
