How to merge ZIP compressed files? 3 methods are recommended!
Challenges of merging ZIP file volumes When you need to process large files, compressing them into multi-volume ZIP files facilitates storage and transmission. However, sometimes it becomes necessary to merge volumes to create a single compressed file. PHP editor Yuzai provides three simple methods to solve this challenge, eliminating the tediousness of merging ZIP volumes. Continue reading this article for more details.
method 1:
We can decompress the ZIP volume file and then recompress it into a compressed package.
It should be noted that before decompressing the volume, you need to ensure that all ZIP volume files are placed in a folder, and the volume file name has not been modified.
After meeting the above two conditions, we only need to decompress one of the volumes to decompress all the volumes.
Method 2:
Use the "Convert Compressed File Format" function of WinRAR decompression software to merge ZIP volume files.
First, after opening the WinRAR software, find the folder where the ZIP volume file is located, then select the first volume, and then click [Convert Compressed File Format] in the [Tools] list of the menu tab;
After opening the [Convert Compressed File] dialog box, check the volume format in [Compressed File Type], that is, the "ZIP" option must be checked, and then click the [Compress] option;
After clicking [Compress], the [Set Default Compression Options] dialog box will open. Select the "ZIP" format in the [Compressed File Format] in the dialog box, and then click [OK].
Return to the [Convert Compressed File] dialog box, click [Browse] to set the saving directory of the merged compressed package, and finally click [OK] to merge the ZIP volume files into a compressed package.
Method 3:
Use the "Merge Files" function of 7-ZIP decompression software to merge ZIP volume files.
Similarly, after opening the 7-ZIP software, first find the folder where the ZIP volume file is located, then select the first volume, and then click [Merge Files] in the [File] list of the menu tab;
Subsequently, the [Merge Files] dialog box will pop up. You can modify the saving path of the merged files as needed, and then click [OK] to merge the ZIP volume files into a compressed package.
Attention:
If a password is set for the ZIP volume compressed file, then use "Method 1", that is, when decompressing the volume, you need to enter the originally set password before the decompression can be successful.
When using the WinRAR software of "Method 2", you also need to enter the originally set password to further merge the volumes.
Using the 7-ZIP software of "Method 3", you do not need to enter a password. You can directly merge the divided files, but the merged compressed package still has a password.
So, if a password is set for the ZIP volume file, friends must remember it. Because you have forgotten your password, you will not be able to merge volumes when using WinRAR because you have to enter the password in the last step. Even if you use 7-Zip software to merge the files, there is still a password.
To solve this problem, you need the help of other tools.

Excel Overflow Range Operator (#) enables formulas to be automatically adjusted to accommodate changes in overflow range size. This feature is only available for Microsoft 365 Excel for Windows or Mac. Common functions such as UNIQUE, COUNTIF, and SORTBY can be used in conjunction with overflow range operators to generate dynamic sortable lists. The pound sign (#) in the Excel formula is also called the overflow range operator, which instructs the program to consider all results in the overflow range. Therefore, even if the overflow range increases or decreases, the formula containing # will automatically reflect this change. How to list and sort unique values in Microsoft Excel

Use formula conditional formatting to handle overflow arrays in Excel Direct formatting of overflow arrays in Excel can cause problems, especially when the data shape or size changes. Formula-based conditional formatting rules allow automatic formatting to be adjusted when data parameters change. Adding a dollar sign ($) before a column reference applies a rule to all rows in the data. In Excel, you can apply direct formatting to the values or background of a cell to make the spreadsheet easier to read. However, when an Excel formula returns a set of values (called overflow arrays), applying direct formatting will cause problems if the size or shape of the data changes. Suppose you have this spreadsheet with overflow results from the PIVOTBY formula,
