At Tesla's recent annual shareholder meeting, Elon Musk teased three new vehicles but did not share any further information regarding those, apart from claiming they are 'pretty special'.
All three EVs were under covers in the teased image, sitting alongside Tesla's current lineup. Judging by their silhouettes, one of the three vehicles appears to be a van or a large SUV, and the other two look almost alike, reminiscent of a compact car.
It is highly likely, perhaps even certain, that one of the cars is set to be the upcoming Tesla Robotaxi, which is scheduled for launch on August 8 as confirmed by Musk himself. However, given Tesla's track record of delivering on promises, it will be interesting to see when the upcoming 'Robotaxi' or 'Cybercab' actually hits the streets, given that Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) tech isn't even fully autonomous yet.
Also, it has been previously reported that the Robotaxi as well as the impending 'compact' Tesla, which Musk confirmed was still in development, willshare the same platform. Based on this, it can be said that the two sleek-looking cars under wraps are probably the Robotaxi and the Model 2, or whatever Tesla names its more affordable offering, which was recently pushed back a year or two in favor of the Robotaxi.
As far as the van is concerned, it has also been rumoredfor a long time, going back all the way to 2022 when Musk hinted at it for the first timevia his Twitter account. More recently, it was reported that Tesla was in tallks with the Italian governmentto manufacture electric trucks/vans. Given that the Tesla Semi is manufactured in Nevada while the Cybertruck is in Texas, it was unclear what those reports meant, but they might have hinted at the long-rumored Tesla van, which might be dubbed the 'Robovan'.
