Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6: leaked closeup pictures of dummy unit confirm design changes
↺" />
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to launch on July 10, if rumours are to be believed. However, newly leaked images of a dummy unit give us a detailed look at the foldable smartphone’s refreshed design, confirming what prior leaks have revealed.
Pictured next to its predecessor, the Fold5 (read our review here), the Fold6 is clearly wider, and thus presumably sporting wider screens inside and out. The corner radii are also smaller and more even on all corners, which makes it look far less asymmetrical when it’s closed. The right edge has the volume buttons and a fingerprint reader positioned to be comfortably reachable. The camera setup appears to be the same as before, with three modules arranged in a row.

Overall, the shape is definitely boxy with flat surfaces all over. Despite the increased width, aprevious leakhas claimed a weight reduction of 14 g over the Fold5. Otherrecent reportshave revealed tentative details like the three colours (Pink, Navy and Silver Shadow, the latter being pictured here), and the pricing, which is expected to start at $1,899 for the 256 GB storage option, and goes up to $2,259 for the 1 TB model.
While any leaked information should taken with a grain of salt, these latest images do appear to be consistent with all that we've heard so far.
The Galaxy Z Fold5 is currently retailing for$1,799 on Amazon, and$899 for a renewed unit.
