Limited edition Samsung Shortcut Sneaker lets you control your phone by moving your feet

In collaboration with sneaker designer Roel van Hoff, Elitac Wearables, Cheil Benelux, and Brut Amsterdam, Samsung has brought out the "sneaker of the future." Called Shortcut Sneaker, the pair allows you to control your phone with foot movements.

As noted by Sammobile, the Samsung Shortcut Sneaker can register different moves and correspond them to different actions on your Samsung phone (256 GB S24 Ultra curr. $1,099.99 on Amazon). For example, you can do a tap dance to make the smartphone play music. This was possibly mainly due to the motion sensorsput in the soles of the shoes.

These sensors track relative position and let you trigger actionson your smartphone. The Shortcut Sneaker can reportedly hold five shortcuts that can be executed with five unique movements of your feet. There are no details on whether you have restrictions on what actions you can assign these five unique movements to.

Nonetheless, while the Samsung Shortcut Sneaker may sound fun, the availability is very limited. As a matter of fact, the pair won't be available in any of Samsung's online stores, and you can't find them in any sneaker retailers either. There are reportedly only six pairs made, and they are for the Samsung Members fanbase.

What further limits the availability of these six pairs is that the company has made the six pairs exclusive to Samsung Members fans in the Netherlands. If you happen to be there, you can participate in the giveaway before July 9 for a chance to secure a pair. The winners will be announced in the second week of July.
