Nikon Z6 III image leak hints at EVF update alongside minor design changes for upcoming full-frame hybrid camera
We have reported on leaks about the upcoming Nikon Z6 III a number of times over the last few weeks, and as the launch draws near, leaks are bound to increase in frequency. The latest leak out of Nikon China (via Nikon Rumors), however, has given us a glimpse at the front of the new full-frame mirrorless camera.
While, as expected, not much seems to have changed regarding the Z6 III camera's form factor, there are some design tweaks to differentiate it from the Nikon Z6 II (curr. discounted to $1,596.95 on Amazon). For starters, the strap lugs have been moved and are now symmetrical, instead of the Z6 II's diagonal right attachment point.
Secondly, and more interestingly, the Z6 III's EVF tower has been redesigned. While this may be an entirely aesthetic choice, Nikon's official teaser for the upcoming June 17 launch specifically calls out better visibility in bright scenarios, indicating that a brighter or larger EVF may also be on the cards.
"In a bright situation, if I can see better, I can create better."
This is, however, pure speculation, as there have been no previous leaks indicating any improvements to the EVF for the Z6 III, and even the Z6 II is on par with the likes of the Sony A7 IV and Panasonic S5 II when it comes to EVF specifications.
The Z6 III is expected to put up a solid fight against its other full-frame hybrid camera contemporaries, though, seemingly featuring 6K video, 7- or 8-stop IBIS, and dual Expeed 7 processors for flagship-tier autofocus and burst speeds.
Nikon's launch event will happen during a YouTube premier on June 17 at 8 AM EST (12 PM GMT).
The above is the detailed content of Nikon Z6 III image leak hints at EVF update alongside minor design changes for upcoming full-frame hybrid camera. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
