CD Projekt Red confirmed Phantom Liberty would be the only story-driven DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. The company has since reallocated all resources to Project Orion, a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. A 4channel poster has now stumbled upon remnants of what could be another expansion to the base game. It has a completely different setting compared to Phantom Liberty and takes place on the moon.
Based on some of the in-game dialog, the unreleased DLC involves V teaming up with the Voodoo Boys, the tight-knit hacker collective from Pacifica. It also references Jackie Wells' girlfriend, a character that never showed up in the original game. We also get to see a rudimentary map of the area with multiple zones. It was almost as large as Night City could potentially hold a ton of side-content and even had a rover to help you navigate.
A giant moon base would serve as a central hub of sorts. It also hinted at a new war between the corporations (Arasaka, Millitech, Bio Technica, Kang Tao, etc.) and the plot would likely circle around it. Originally meant to launch sometime in 2025, the expansion was likely cancelled due to COVID 19. It is a shame, as a space-based expansion would be received well by Cyberpunk 2077 players as it nicely supplements the plot of Cyberpunk Edgerunners. That said, it is possible for data miners to cobble together a somewhat-playable build with the available assets.
