A few days ago, Lenovo China confirmed the launch date of next-generation clamshell foldable smartphones, which are expected to replace the likes of the Razr 2023 (curr. $449.99 on Amazon). To recap, the company hinted that the Razr 50 series would arrive alongside a new candybar smartphone on June 25. However, it was unclear when any of these devices would be available globally.
As it turns out, Motorola intends to introduce new clamshell foldables on June 25 globally and not just in China. Unsurprisingly, the company has not revealed any specifics about its next foldable smartphones. Instead, it has published two images and the following teaser statements:
Flipping open a new start...
Hold tight...it’s going to be a flipping good day
We're about to flip your mind away on June 25
Additionally, while Motorola has not outlined how many devices it intends to release globally next week, one teaser image implies that it has developed two Razr foldables. To that end, YTECHB has published evidence of how much the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra will cost in the Eurozone. Allegedly, Motorola intends to sell the Razr 50 for €899 with 256 GB of storage, with the more powerful Razr 50 Ultra coming in at €1,199 with 512 GB of storage. For reference, countless official images of both devices emerged last month courtesy of Evan Blass, which we have covered separately.
