CMF showed off a teaser of its first-ever smartphone, the CMF Phone 1, and said it would launch soon. The company has now zeroed in on a specific date: July 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM BST (British Standard Time). The smartphone will be joined by two new accessories, the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2, both of which are slated to succeed their last-gen counterparts.
Another teaser on CMF's X handle shows off the phone's rotary dial. Once again, its purpose has not been specified, and one can reasonably assume it will be one of the more talked-about feature at launch. X user Ben Geskin has revealed an interesting tidbit about the CMF Phone 1. He shows off its SIM ejector tool, which, intriguingly, comes with a screwdriver attached. Apparently, you'll need a screwdriver to access the phone's SIM card- a puzzling design choice.
Specs-wise, the CMF Phone 1 is rumoured to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300, the same SoC found on Oppo's Reno12 and Reno12 Pro. Other specs include a sole 50 MP camera sensor and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 Watt fast charging. It is expected to cost ₹19,999 (~$240 ), positioning it as an affordable Nothing Phone 2a alternative.
