The Oppo Watch X has arrived in Europe. Following the announcement at a launch event, the smartwatch is already on sale in some countries, including the UK. The wearable was revealed in February and launched first in select markets such as Malaysia.
The Watch X has hardware identical to the OnePlus Watch 2, a wearable from Oppo’s parent company, which is already on sale in the EU. Both smartwatches have a 1.43-inch (~36 mm) AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits brightness, protected by sapphire crystal glass. You can use the smartwatch to track health metrics and log workouts with statistics for runners, such as ground contact time, vertical oscillation and pace. Using the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, the wearable runs on Wear OS 4 bringing Google Maps, Google Pay, Google Assistant and over 100 apps via the Google Play store. The 500 mAh battery allows the device to run for 12 days in Power Saver Mode or around four days in Smart Mode.
Other features include always on display, voice calling, and VOOC flash charging, providing power for 24 hours with a 10-minute charge. You can now buy the Oppo Watch X in the UK for the discounted price of £279; the model will retail for £299 in the future. In EU countries, the smartwatch will retail for €329. However, the OnePlus Watch 2 sells for €329/£299, currently reduced to €299/£269, making this wearable cheaper at the moment.
