Garmin's Beta Program has been unusually quiet of late. Arguably, this is more true for the Instinct 2 series than many other currently supported Garmin smartwatches, such as Fenix 6 and Fenix 7 models. Specifically, Garmin has only released one beta update in the last two months until now, which arrived as Beta Version 16.02.
As such, the Instinct 2 series remains on v15.08 as its most recent stable update. However, the company has now introduced Beta Version 16.06, which Garmin claims makes the following changes from v15.08:
With that being said, Beta Version 16.06 makes only minor improvements over its direct predecessor, Beta Version 16.02. Specifically, Garmin states it has resolved an issue that affected using the Sight' N Go hotkey outside of an activity for all Instinct 2 series smartwatches. On top of that, all but the Instinct Crossover (curr. $449.99 on Amazon) should have received a bug fix for an outstanding issue relating to CIQ watch faces in the Watch Face menu.
