How to get Clay in Pax Dei

Clay is a vital resource in Pax Dei. It’s responsible for advanced crafting facilities and for laying the foundation for your homestead. Only, you may find it hard to locate.

Clay is a raw resource that you can find and collect on the ground like some others in Pax Dei; the trick is finding where it spawns, however.

Where to find Clay in Pax Dei

Despite my incessant travelling, I was only able to find one type of location that had Clay on it, and it was only thanks to the kindness of another player.

I’ve only noticed Clay to spawn in groups near rivers and bodies of water. They won’t spawn right at the bank or in the river, but some paces in-land. So when looking for Clay, follow the rivers and keep your attention to the land and not the river.

Do bear in mind that other players may have taken the Clay before you get there, and there won’t be any indication that Clay used to be there. You could run past numerous Clay spawn points without realizing.

The best way to know where Clay is in Pax Dei is by asking around. Ultimately, this is a multiplayer game, and you’ll have numerous other players with foundations and huts and houses that know where Clay is. Every one of those players would have found Clay, so why not ask them where they found it?

I had to disturb another player, Aurelle, to ask where she found her Clay and she took me straight away to where she found some before. So if ever you pass Aurelle in your travels, make sure to say thanks!

Best Clay spots in Pax Dei

As it stands, with Clay spawns being rather standard and all the maps being completely different, there isn’t really a “best” Clay Spot. In the case of Pax Dei, the best Clay spots will be any that’s within reasonable walking distance.

I would recommend asking around thoroughly for where other players found their Clay to build up a general knowledge of your area. With the knowledge of everyone in the community, you’ll be a leading power in where all the Clay spots are, and you’ll be able to efficiently travel between them whilst you wait for them to respawn.

It is currently unknown exactly how long resources take to respawn, especially as each resource will have different cooldown times. However, with my run-in with Aurelle, I can estimate that Clay may have a respawn rate of at least 30 minutes to an hour.
