OnePlus is gearing up to launch the Ace 3 Pro in China. The launch is set for June 27, and the company has just confirmed a couple of core specs of the upcoming Android flagship. As previously speculated, the phone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, making it stay in the same league as the OnePlus 12in terms of performance.
To ensure that the flagship SoC delivers a stable performance, OnePlus says that it has packed the Ace 3 Pro with an updated cooling system with 9127 square millimeters of heat dissipation area. It is claimed to offer 36% better cooling performance than the Ace 2 Pro and is said to bring 70% better thermal conductivity.
Besides the processor and the cooling setup, OnePlus confirmed that the Ace 3 Pro will be available with up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Previously, the company revealed that the upcoming phone will feature a 6,100 mAh battery that sports Glacier Battery tech.
With that, it will become the first OnePlus device to cross the 6,000 mAh mark. This battery capacity is also an improvement over the Ace 3, which was previously crowned for having the largest battery in any OnePlus phone. But the charging rate remains the same, at 100W.
Speaking of which, OnePlus launched the Ace 3 in the global regions as OnePlus 12R (available on Amazon). The company is unlikely to rebrand the Pro for the international markets, as the Ace 2 Pro stayed China-exclusive. Of course, the company did bring Ace Pro out of China as 10T, but we haven't seen another T-series phone from OnePlus ever since.
