Samsung is reportedly revealing a pantheon of new Galaxy devices at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event early next month. Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6, the Galaxy Z Flip6 is said to headline the event with a tweaked design and a notable spec bump. However, the Galaxy Z Flip6 price may also see an unwelcome change in both the US and the EU markets.
According to the newest report out of SamInsider, the Galaxy Z Flip6 price in the EU will start at €1,339.99 for the 256 GB variant and will go up to €1,466.99 for the 512 GB SKU. These are significant €141 and €148 increases, respectively, over last year’s Galaxy Z Flip5(Available on Amazon). The device is also expected to land $100 more expensive in the US according to an earlier report.
Combined with the report of the the US model of the Galaxy Z Fold6 also costing $100 more than the Galaxy Z Fold5 (Buy on Amazon), it appears Samsung's entire foldable portfolio is getting a price hike. This makes the case for the FE versions of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Z Flip6 even stronger, as affordability plays a huge role in onboarding new customers.
That said, rumors and leaks are always to be taken with a grain of salt. So, we’ll have to wait and see what Samsung does with the final Galaxy Z Flip6 rate.
