Earlier today, Motorola presented theMoto S50 Neo, Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. While the Moto S50 Neo continues to be a Chinese exclusive in any form, the company has now released the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra globally. As far as we can tell, the pair have already reached North America, Europe and the UK, among other markets.
As the graphic below shows, plenty of similarities exist between the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, including their designs. However, Motorola has made a few savings with the former to keep its launch price down just as it did with the Razr 2023 (curr. $449.99 on Amazon), including opting for a weaker chipset and a less capable secondary camera, as well as a smaller cover display. Please see our original Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra launch articles for further hardware details.
In short, the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra rival the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Flip6, with Samsung expected to release the latter early next month. As expected, Motorola has given the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra different names for their North American releases. Specifically, the pair have arrived as the Razr 2024 and the Razr 2024+ or Razr 2024 Plus, respectively. For reference, the pair are available at the following prices and memory configurations outside China with a complimentary pair of Moto Buds+ earbuds in some markets:
Razr 50/Razr 2024
Razr 50 Ultra/Razr 2024+
