Farcaster operating nodes will not receive airdrops! Supercast founder says it undermines network stability

Farcaster node operation causes network burden

120btC.coM: After the decentralized social protocol Farcaster announced that it had received US$150 million in financing, a large number of registrations and interactive teaching articles appeared. Recently, many people have shared their teachings and experiences on deploying Farcaster nodes (Hub), looking forward to receiving potential airdrops.

However, the large number of people operating nodes also increases the burden on the Farcaster network. Co-founder Varun Srinivasan said on the client Warpcast that information processing delays caused functional failures such as Frames (small applications embedded in posts) due to the addition of a large number of new nodes.

Supercast criticizes airdrop earners

Supercast founder Woj criticized the behavior of earning airdrops by running nodes. He stated that Hub operators will not receive airdrops and that this behavior disrupts the network and negatively affects other users.

Woj emphasizes that you should only run nodes if you truly need and can afford it. He also stated that he was not aware of any airdrops, but believed that people who bombard the network with spam and hinder the work of developers should be banned from receiving any Farcaster-related airdrops.
