Powkiddy has now released a new gaming handheld, just as Anbernic has started officially teasing theirs. To recap, the former unveiled the Powkiddy V10 earlier this month before listing launch pricing on its website a week later. By contrast, Anbernic appears to be on the verge of releasing the RG40XX H, which we have covered separately.
As expected, the Powkiddy V10 has arrived for $39.99 in Beige, Grey, Transparent Black and Transparent Purple colourways. While the gaming handheld ships with a 64 GB MicroSD card by default, Powkiddy is selling all colours with a 128 GB card for a $10 surcharge. Incidentally, the company's website suggests that the V10 may eventually retail for $20 more than its launch prices. However, we cannot find when any price rises would take effect.
At any rate, the Powkiddy V10 measures 103.2 x 94 x 22.5 mm. As such, the device is on the smaller side, for which it has a 3.5-inch display and a 3,000 mAh battery. Additionally, Powkiddy equips the V10 with a Rockchip RK3326 chipset and 1 GB of DDR3L RAM, the combination of which we have seen in other retro gaming handhelds before, including the Powkiddy-sold MagicX XU10 (curr. $64.50 on Amazon). Please see Powkiddy's website for more details.
