Major crypto mining hardware provider Bitdeer has announced a 30-year lease agreement with the Monroe County Port Authority to obtain an additional 570MW from the Hannibal Industrial Park in Clarington, Ohio.
This new partnership will boost Bitdeer’s global capacity to an impressive 2.5GW, advancing the company's goal of bolstering the ecosystem for Bitcoin mining, High-Performance Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. The site, which was formerly an aluminum processing factory, boasts existing power distribution networks and utility substations that will greatly benefit Bitdeer's expanding operations.
"We are excited to announce this significant expansion of our operations in Ohio and appreciate the support of the Monroe County Port Authority,” said Linghui Kong, Chief Business Officer at Bitdeer. “This new site in Hannibal Industrial Park is strategically chosen due to its existing infrastructure, which will enhance our capacity to generate power efficiently for critical sectors such as Bitcoin mining and AI."
