Google is all set to unveil the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and maybe even the Pixel 9 Pro Fold on August 8 via a dedicated event. As is tradition, a major Google launch has been preceded by a torrent of leaks that reveal pretty much everything one needs to know about the phone. Now, we get to see the Pixel 9 in the flesh thanks to an X user based in Algeria.
The Pixel 9 sample in question is brilliantly pink, indicating Google's intention to bring back non-conventional colour variants. It looks exactly how the leaks indicated it would, complete with a thick pill-shaped glass housing for the cameras. Unfortunately, we won't get a peek at any of its features as the device in question is switched off, but the user promised he'd post more information later.
Of course, there is a very real possibility that the Pixel 9 in question is a dummy unit. Even if it isn't we probably won't get to see it in action for long as Google will certainly disable it, like it did with Pixel devices leaked in the past before. Meanwhile, if you're on the prowl for a Pixel phone and can't wait a month, consider this refurbished Pixel 8 Pro model that's going for $599 on Amazon.
