Crypto Lending Firm Maple Finance Announces Partnership with Zodia Custody, the Digital Asset Safekeeping Service Backed by Finance Industry Heavyweights

Maple is among the few crypto lenders that weathered the 2022 market turmoil and survived FTX's implosion, which ran rivals like BlockFi and Genesis out of business.

Crypto lending platform Maple Finance has announced a new partnership with Zodia Custody, a digital asset safekeeping service backed by Standard Chartered, National Australia Bank, and SBI Holdings.

As part of the partnership, Maple will leverage Zodia Custody as a preferred custodian for global digital asset lending arrangements, according to a press release on Sunday.

The partnership will also see Maple’s token supported on Zodia Custody wallets and further integration targeting institutional investors with yield offerings. This will build on Zodia Custody’s tie-up with Singapore-based OpenEden, which was announced earlier this year.

The integration is expected to go live by early Q3. In the meantime, Zodia Custody clients can use Maple’s platform to scale their digital asset business with "flexible, cost-effective debt capital" by contacting their local representative.

Zodia Custody’s clients range from banks and corporates to financial institutions and "mature" crypto investors, according to the firm's website. Notably, American asset manager Invesco is also listed as a client on the site.
