Specifically, automobile production and sales in that month reached 2.507 million and 2.552 million units respectively, with month-on-month growth rates of 5.7% and 5.6% respectively, while year-on-year decreases of 2.1% and 2.7% respectively. This trend is also reflected in the overall performance of the first half of the year. In terms of vehicle types, passenger car exports dominated, reaching 403,000 units, an increase of 1.4% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 29.1%; commercial vehicle exports were 82,000 units, a month-on-month decrease of 2.5%, but a year-on-year increase of 16.9%.
Total automobile exports in the first half of the year reached 2.793 million units, a year-on-year increase of 30.5%, of which 2.339 million passenger vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 31.5%; commercial vehicle exports were 454,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 25.7%.
