The rollout of the Pioneer Program comes ahead of Cronos zkEVM’s mainnet launch. The platform has slated the respective launch in Q3 of this year. The project will reportedly unveil phases over the coming weeks. It features various social and community-related quests, as per the reports. They offer users a chance to generate loyalty points as they familiarize themselves with Cronos zkEVM-based services and features.

Following this, the users will be allowed to claim points when utilizing the decentralized applications in the ecosystem. Participation in the dApps will reportedly provide increased token yields and other benefits to those holding points. These additional yields will be provided to the users in CRO (the native token of Cronos zkEVM) and native dapp coins.

As a result of this, the platform will enable the users to generate three yield layers for crypto assets like CRO. The first layer includes the staking yield. The platform natively provides this yield on holding zkCRO and other liquid-staked tokens. The second layer comprises the DeFi yield. Various DeFi protocols within the ecosystem create this yield.

The third layer involves additional yield that comes from dapp participation. Commenting on this development, Cronos Labs’ Ken Timsit stated that the mainnet launch of Cronos zkEVM has been highly anticipated by the community. He added that the Pioneer Program recognizes their valuable efforts in helping to improve the testnet.

The Platform Also Conducts a Campaign to Let Users Get Points until the Mainnet Release

To kick-off the Pioneer Program, the platform is launching the Cronos zkEVM Passage campaign. The company is undertaking this in partnership with Veno Finance. This will commence on July 4 and will continue until the mainnet release. Users can earn points by staking and locking CRO tokens into certain bridge contracts that Veno powers on Ethereum.
