Assisterr took home two prizes at BeWater's recent AI Crypto Hackathon – the US $2,000 Neo Bounty and the $5,000 first prize in the Tokenized AI and Incentives track.
Assisterr, a startup incubated by the University of Cambridge, has emerged victorious in two categories at BeWater’s recent AI Crypto Hackathon, taking home the Neo bounty of US $2,000 and the first prize of $5,000 in the Tokenized AI and Incentives track. Assisterr’s AI solution was deployed on the Neo X EVM sidechain TestNet.
The team at Assisterr is building a network of community-owned small language models (SLMs). They aim to enable communities to collaborate and aggregate their expertise in niche subjects by developing, deploying, and monetizing SLMs. To achieve this, Assisterr will distribute its native ASSR token to entities that contribute to the ecosystem by sharing data.
“We are excited to win the Tokenized AI and Incentives track and Neo bounty at the BeWater hackathon,” said Nick Havryliak, co-founder of Assisterr. “We treat hackathons as a great playground to test R&D ideas, meet potential strategic partners, and work together on ideas that are valuable for the industry on a scale, but shouldn’t be perfect immediately. We appreciate the support and hope this will be a great start of a long-term collaboration between Assisterr and Neo, beneficial for both our communities.”
Currently, the Assisterr team is running an incentivized TestNet campaign to test and improve their AI agents. The campaign will span multiple stages over 1 to 2 months, allowing community members to participate in various tasks. Running an AI agent locally and engaging in social media activities are among the campaign’s assignments.
Assisterr also plans to add a developer relations AI agent to its SLM store, which will be trained on Neo’s codebase and technical documentation. The agent aims to increase awareness of Neo’s tech stack, accelerate dApp development, and onboard users with minimal friction.
