Xiaomi'selectric vehicle (EV) projecthas now grown from a pipe-dream on the part of CEO Lei Jun to an actual business division with its own dealerships, service shops and delivery depots: 93, 57 and 30 of those respectively, in 31 different Chinese cities to boot, today.
The OEM plans toadd 127, 78 and 23 more of each respectivelyby the end of 2024, the operations ofwhich would, of course, revolve around the inaugural SU7and its Pro or Max variants thus far. Xiaomiprojected that it wouldfulfil at least 100,000 of their orders by the end of 2024; however, it seems that target will be in the rear view mirror by early November 2024.
That projection has been revised even in the face of the need to shut an SU7production line down for maintenance earlier in July 2024; nevertheless, the OEM asserts it is still on track to deliver at least 10,000 vehiclesby the end of the month.
