It seems that Bose is preparing to refresh its high-end wireless audio portfolio, less than six months after it released the Ultra Open Earbuds (curr. $299 on Amazon). Nonetheless, @MysteryLupin has demonstrated that Bose intends to update not only the Ultra Open Earbuds but also the older QuietComfort Ultra Headphones.
Like Xiaomi's recent Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G release, new versions of the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and Ultra Open Earbuds appear to be purely cosmetic refreshes. For context, Bose currently sells both devices in Black and White Smoke finishes. However, the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones also come in a Sandstone finish, which also eludes the similarly-named QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. For some reason, Bose does not intend to harmonise the colour options across all 'Ultra' branded devices.
Instead, the Ultra Open Earbuds will gain the 'Moonstone Blue' colour in which the QuietComfort Wireless Headphones andQuietComfort Ultra Earbudsare already available. Additionally, Bose will introduce a new 'Diamond' option for the Ultra Open Earbuds and QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. Conversely, only the latter will showcase 'Lunar Blue', a much darker alternative to Moonstone Blue. Unfortunately, the release of these new colour options remains unknown for now.
