Xiaomi has only just released a successor to the Smart Band 8 (curr. $43 on Amazon), which it offers in China as the Smart Band 9. For context, the company launched the MIX Flip, MIX Fold 4 and Redmi K70 Extreme Edition simultaneously, albeit only in China. As it stands, it appears that Xiaomi will offer the MIX Flip globally but not the largerMIX Fold 4. Conversely, theRedmi K70 Extreme Editionis expected to launch outside later this summer or in early autumn as the Xiaomi 14T Pro.
Typically, Xiaomi offers up its wearables to international audiences, too. However, it often does months after it has started selling them in China, as proved the case earlier this year with the Smart Band 8 Pro. Potentially, the Smart Band 9 could be available globally much sooner than Xiaomi's recent wearable release schedules would have suggested.
According to Gadgets & Wearables, Amazon Italy offered the wearable for €39.99, a marginal increase on its predecessor's MSRP of €36.99. Additionally, the same website states that the listing included an August 19 release date. Unfortunately, while we were able to verify that the listing existed, we cannot verify Gadgets & Wearables' claims about pricing or availability.
