Qualcomm has quietly started selling the Snapdragon Dev Kit, roughly two months after it announced the device in late May. As expected, the Snapdragon Dev Kit is the cheapest Snapdragon X series device around despite its comparatively high-end hardware. For context, the Surface Pro 11 (curr. $989 on Amazon) starts with a Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 chipset, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

In comparison, the Snapdragon Dev Kit utilises the X1E-00-1DE version of the Snapdragon X Elite. In fact, the mini-PC is the only device to do so. Practically speaking, the X1E-00-1DE should perform about as well the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-84-100 in most tasks. However, it has a 100 MHz higher dual-core boost speed, which peaks at 4.3 GHz.

Moreover, Qualcomm equips the Snapdragon Dev Kit with 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 512 GB of storage and pre-installs Windows 11.
