New trailer for Quidditch Champions provides new information and shows first gameplay scenes

The first trailer for Quidditch Champions did not show any gameplay, but did reveal the release date of September 3rd. Just under a month before release, publisher Warner Bros. Games finally unveils the first gameplay scenes.

There are not many gameplay insights in the 1:49-minute video, but the scenes shown still give a good first impression of the game - and it's more or less as you would have imagined. You fly through the Quidditch arena from a third-person perspective, causing the Quaffle to pass through the rings as a chaser or catching the golden snitch as a seeker. However, scenes from the position of a Keeper or Driver, which should also be playable, were not shown.

In addition to initial gameplay impressions, the trailer also briefly introduces the three-player career mode and the online competition mode. Character customization options are also shown. Players can not only have their character fly onto the field in different outfits, but also with different hairstyles and accessories.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions (can be pre-ordered here) will be available in a basic version for $30 and a deluxe version for $40, which includes the game, outfits and brooms for all four houses as well as 2,000 gold as starting capital. Pre-orders will receive a Firebolt Supreme broom skin. Those who have played Hogwarts Legacy will also receive a Moontrimmer broom skin and additional cosmetic items.

Free for PlayStation Plus subscribers

As Warner Brows. has announced on the website, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be included exclusively in the PlayStation Plus subscription from the day of release. PS Plus subscribers will therefore not have to dig into their pockets again.

Switch release will be later

On September 3, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will only be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbos Series/X. The Nintendo Switch version will be released at a later date for currently unknown reasons.
