AOC prepares to release AGON PRO AG276QZD2 gaming monitor with new 240 Hz QD-OLED panel for $599.99

On the face of it, the AGON PRO AG276QZD and AGON PRO AG276QZD2 are similar monitors. In fact, it would be difficult to tell the two apart visually. Likewise, AOC advertises both as 27-inch monitors with OLED panels, 1440p native resolutions and 240 Hz peak refresh rates. However, while the AGON PRO AG276QZD utilises an older LG Display WOLED, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 relies upon one of Samsung Display's latest Gen 3 QD-OLED panels.

As far as we can tell, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 shares the same QD-OLED panel that MSI offers in theMAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2(curr. $720.99 on Amazon). Thus, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 has a slower refresh rate than theMAG 271QPX QD-OLEDand other recent 360 Hz QD-OLED monitors. Still, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 gets up to 66% brighter than its predecessor when viewing SDR content and can reach 1,000 nits in HDR mode (APL 3%).

Furthermore, the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 should provide 0.03 ms GtG response times, 98.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and Delta E <2 colour deviations. On top of that, AOC has included two DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports apiece, along with stereo 5 W speakers and a two-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A hub. Currently, it seems that the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 is only available in the Eurozone, where it retails for €769. The monitor should eventually be available in the US for $599.99 though via retailers likeMicrocenterandNewegg.
