Front-end Development Learning Path

So, your front-end development journey will start with HTML and CSS.

I would say, if you spent 3-5 hours a day studying and coding, you should have a reasonable understanding of these two languages in a relatively short period of time – perhaps a month or two (but of course everyone learns at a different pace, and that's fine).

Once you learn these languages, then you need to learn JavaScript. I have a separate course for learning JavaScript.

So, after finishing this tutorial, you may want to enroll in that course.

You can also check out freeCodeCamp's curriculum which teaches JavaScript (along with HTML and CSS, among other technologies).

I would say that learning JavaScript may take another few months of your time. Of course, you will not be a JavaScript expert in such a short time, but you may be able to gain a reasonable understanding of it. You will also learn more as you work on different projects.

So, the first few months (or longer) of learning to code is all about the fundamentals.

See you on the next post!

P.S. This is my new series. If you are new to coding, and would like some help learning to code, check out my free handbook HTML and CSS Handbook for Beginners.
