Redmi Note 13 and Poco F6 set to receive updates till 2028 as Xiaomi refreshes official support policy page
Aug 01, 2024 am 09:45 AMXiaomi has reportedly updated its Security Center to provide official information on the company's update policy for its global devices. While Xiaomi still lags behind Samsung and Google, it promises five years of security patches for some of its devices, on par with OnePlus.
As per the official page, only Xiaomi's most premium phones will receive five years of support. That includes the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Both the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro round up the rather short list.
A lot more phones are billed to get four years of updates, however, including devices like the Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12T Pro, Xiaomi 13 Lite, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. Interestingly, several mid-range and even budget devices get identical support. The Poco F6, Poco M6, all the Redmi Note 13 (buy on Amazon) series phones, the Redmi 12 5G, Redmi 12C, Redmi Note 12, and even the Redmi 12 receive four years of support.
For some reason, though, the Redmi Note 12 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro are limited to three years of software updates. Both phones are set to get the same software support as budget devices like the Redmi A3, Redmi Pad Pro 5G, and Redmi 13C.

The above is the detailed content of Redmi Note 13 and Poco F6 set to receive updates till 2028 as Xiaomi refreshes official support policy page. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
