We didn't review this same exact configuration of the gaming laptop, but the Core Ultra 7 155H variant did reasonably well in our tests. There are many aspects that are similar to the one that's on sale. For example, it comes with the same aluminum build, which we found to be quite elegant.

Another major highlight of this gaming laptop is the OLED screen. It's a 16-inch panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, Pantone validation, and Dolby Vision HDR. We found it to be razor-sharp and capable of delivering vivid colors.

Performance-wise, the RTX 4070 and Core Ultra 9 185H combination means that it can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. However, note that the configuration of the ROG Zephyrus G16 that's on sale equips 16 GB of RAM, which is soldered on. This is a negative aspect as it implies you can't expand the memory further if needed.

But the good part is that there are two M.2 slots for storage expansion, and the configuration currently enjoying the $350 discount comes with a 1 TB PCIe 4.0SSD. Other highlights include a decent selection of ports, great speakers, G-Sync support, and a reasonably compact form factor.
