The report shows that Indian smartphone shipments in Q2 2024 will decrease by 2% year-on-year, mainly due to factors such as heat waves, seasonal downturns, and slowing demand. Specifically in terms of brands, Xiaomi returned to the top position with a shipment share of 18.9%, followed by vivo with a share of 18.8%, and Samsung fell to third place with a share of 18.1%.

Analysts said that heat waves in various regions have led to a decline in passenger traffic in offline channels, and consumers have prioritized appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, thus delaying smartphone purchase plans. Calculated in terms of mobile phone shipments, Samsung leads the market with a 25% share, while vivo and Apple rank second and third respectively.
