Huawei has already confirmed that its MatePad series will get new members during its next major product event. Now, the eminent leaker Digital Chat Station has chimed in with more detail on at least 1 of these upcoming tablets.
The tipster asserts that this MatePad will upgrade toa tandem OLED display, thereby catching up with the latest iPad Pro (and the Honor Magic6 series that got there beforehand).
Furthermore, Digital Chat Station notes that the same new and potentially state-of-the-art MatePad will have a hidden selfie camera (or possibly none at all) to keep its new screen as clean and clear as possible.
The device in question is likely to debut as the MatePad Pro 12.2, although it should be noted that its Air 12 counterpart has also been depicted with the same ultra-slim bezels thus far.
The tablet is also said to be powered by a "Kirin 9 series flagship chip" to be taken seriously despite its first-party status - although its inclusion might make the new MatePad flagship ineligible for release outside China.
