Learning Bitcoin: Bitcoin education event coming to Victoria Conference Centre

If you're curious about Bitcoin but are unsure about using, saving or investing in the digital currency, it's time to hear from the experts

Those interested in learning more about Bitcoin but are hesitant to use, save or invest in the digital currency can now attend an educational seminar in Victoria.

Learning Bitcoin, presented by Bull Bitcoin, is a Bitcoin education event founded by Tristan Swift. The event will feature international Bitcoin experts including Seb Bunney (The Hidden Cost of Money), John Dennehy (My First Bitcoin), and Troy Cross (Bitcoin Policy Institute).

Taking place Sept. 28 at the Conference Centre's Crystal Garden, the educational event aims to familiarize participants with the potential of Bitcoin.

Inspired by his work alongside industry experts, Swift soon realized there are few opportunities for inclusive learning for those in the early stages of their Bitcoin journey.

"I had an 'aha!' moment when I was working for My First Bitcoin and I realized with my event experience and what I knew about the Bitcoin space that there's a real opportunity here," Swift says, noting most North American conferences charge up to several hundred dollars to attend.

Tickets for the local Learning Bitcoin event are just $59 until August 31.
