China Passenger Car Association: China's new energy vehicles will account for 65% of the global market share in the first half of 2024

According to news on August 5, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association Branch, recently released a report on global car sales in the first half of 2024. The report shows that between January and June 2024, total global vehicle sales reached 43.9 million units, of which new energy vehicle sales were 7.39 million units, showing the strong growth momentum of the new energy vehicle market.

Among the 7.39 million new energy vehicles, pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid models account for a large proportion.

1. Pure electric models accounted for 11% of sales.
