According to the latest data from Techinsights, China’s smartphone shipments increased by 5% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2024, reaching 67.4 million units.

Attached is the specific brand ranking:

vivo shipped 13.1 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%, and a market share of 19.4%;

OPPO (including OnePlus) shipped 11.2 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 8.2%, and a market share of 16.6% ;

Huawei shipped 10.4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 56.8%, with a market share of 15.4%;

Honor shipped 10.3 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%, with a market share of 15.3%;

Xiaomi shipped 10 million units, a year-on-year increase 16.3%, with a market share of 14.8%;

Apple shipped 9.5 million units, with a market share of 14% (the agency did not release year-on-year data).

The report shows that vivo’s growth is mainly driven by the low-end Y series and high-end X series; OPPO has adopted a cautious strategy in launching new products, focusing on high-volume products; although Huawei’s performance in the Chinese market is tenacious, its growth is lower than before A few quarters of significant slowdown.
