Realme 13 4G announced as a rebadged Realme 12

The Realme 13 4G has been announced in Indonesia as the third in the Realme 13 series. It joins the Realme 13 Pro and the Realme 13 Pro+ unveiled in July, both of which have 5G modems.

The Realme 13 4G shares most of its features with the Realme 12 4G announced in June. The design is the same, even down to one of the available color options. However, the new Realme 13 4G boasts an IP64 dust and water resistance rating, an upgrade from the IP54 rating of the Realme 12. A similar feature called 'Aqua Touch' is available on the OnePlus 12R (curr. $499 on Amazon).

The Realme 13 4G has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel with a centered punch hole for the front-facing camera. There's an in-display fingerprint scanner that can also measure heart rate and a 'Rain Water Touch' touch feature that allows the screen to detect touch input even when your fingers are wet.A similar feature called 'Aqua Touch' is available on the OnePlus 12R (curr. $499 on Amazon).

Powering the Realme 13 4G is a Snapdragon 685 processor with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Realme 12 4G is available with up to 512GB of storage but that isn't the case this time. Thankfully, there's a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Realme 13 4G has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS as its primary rear camera while a 2MP depth camera is the secondary sensor. In front, users get a 16MP sensor. The phone also has dual SIM, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, an audio jack, and stereo speakers.There's a 5,000mAh battery under the hood with support for 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging (67W power brick included in the box).

The phone ships with Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and it comes with GT Mode, a performance mode that debuted on the Realme GT series.Available in Skyline Blue and Pioneer Green, the Realme 13 4G is priced at IDR 2,999,00 (~$187) for the 128GB version and IDR 3,199,000 (~$199) for the 256GB version.

Considering there's also a Realme 12 5G, there's a possibility of a Realme 13 5G launching in the future.
