A resident of Triunfo Road in unincorporated Agoura went to access her small safe for paperwork on July 23 and noticed the safe had been replaced with a different box. The last time she remembered accessing the safe was sometime in early 2021. She told deputies that workers had been inside her home for remodeling jobs on multiple occasions in recent years, including just two weeks earlier. The missing safe was valued at around $1,000.

Malibu

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a residential burglary in the 23000 block of Malibu Road on July 21. The victim told deputies he left his home at 7:30 a.m. and returned at 4:30 p.m. to find his front door had been forced open and ransacked. Westlake Village

A man parked his Jeep Rubicon in the lot of TJ Maxx on Thousand Oaks Boulevard on July 25 and entered the store. Inside he saw someone he thought looked suspicious, a man wearing a black mask who seemed to be casing the area. The man in the mask exited into the parking lot. The first man followed him and found him inside his Jeep. When the burglar noticed the vehicle’s owner he ran out of view. The front passenger window had been smashed, causing around $1,000 in damage, but nothing was stolen.
