Realme’s 300W fast-charging demo reveals 0 to 17% battery capacity in only 35 seconds

Realme turned heads recently when it announced 300W fast-charging for its supposedGT7 Pro(as detailed in previous leaks). It's not the first brand to make such an announcement, though - Xiaomi has also been teasing its 300W charging for a while now. Realme's charging tech, when it shows up in the consumer's hands, will potentially surpass the previous record-breaking 240W fast charging in the Realme GT Neo 5. Tipster @OnLeaks further stated that the charging speed could be even higher than 300W.

Now, a leaked video has surfaced, and if you are in favor of having your phone charged before you finish making breakfast, this could be right up your alley. The video below demonstrates a phone charging from 0 to 17% in just 35 seconds.

While the full charging time and battery capacity of the device are still undisclosed, the teaser provides tangible proof that Realme's tech is capable. For reference, in February 2023, Xiaomi's300W charging demoshowcased a 4100mAh Redmi Note 12 Pro reaching 17% from flat in around 59 seconds. Granted, battery capacity is unknown in Realme's case, but the tech also seems closer in implementation as compared to other competing smartphone brands. Real-world stats would likely differ, though, since charging speed fluctuates. This inconsistency can be attributed to various factors, such as battery temperature, charging algorithm, and system optimization.

Realme is expected to provide more details about the fast-charging tech and its integration into future smartphones at the August 14th annual 828 fan event.
