Moondrop releases Block true wireless earbuds with low-latency game mode
Moondrop has released the Block true wireless earbuds for audio enthusiasts that sit comfortably in the outer ear. Unlike earbuds jammed into ear canals, the Block does not cause a plugged ear feeling or collect ear wax. The 13 mm driver is enclosed by a body designed to enhance bass without requiring a sponge cover that most other earbuds use. Bass audio tuning was made using a Brüel & Kjær Type 5128 High-frequency Head and Torso Simulator (HF HATS). Dual beamforming microphones help separate voices from background noise during calls in noisy environments.
The earbuds can be controlled by touch to activate various modes. A game mode reduces latency to 55 ms for more synchronized sound over Bluetooth 5.4 connections. The earbuds can be used as a pair in stereo audio mode or singly in mono audio mode.
The internal rechargeable battery runs for up to six hours, and the charging carry case provides another 15 hours of runtime power. The Block measures 1.25 x 0.69 inches (32.2 x 17.7 mm), and the charging case measures 1.66 x 1.63 x 0.96 inches (42.6 x 42 x 24.6 mm).
The Moondrop Block is available for $19.99 at authorized resellers. Readers can check out some of the other Moondrop offerings here on Amazon and on the Moondrop website.
