While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may still be up to six months away from launch, details of the device have long begun to surface in the wild. The line-leading flagship is set to build on the qualities of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (buy on Amazon), and a new leak now reveals some key details of the phone.
As shared by leaker Kartikey Singh, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is set to debut with a quad-camera setup at its rear. Reportedly, the flagship will feature a 50 MP 1-inch main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera, and two telephoto cameras. Zoom seems to be the focus of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra—it's tipped to sport a 3x telephoto lens in addition to a 4.x periscope lens sitting atop a 1/1.4-inch ISOCELL HP9 200 MP sensor.
That telephoto array may not be as impressive as the previously rumored 160mm focal length setup but should still see the Xiaomi 15 Ultra launch as one of the best zoom smartphones on the market, as it's hyped up to deliver up to 12x lossless zoom performance.
Under the hood of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will sit a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The flagship is expected to deliver some other upgrades, ditching the 14 Ultra's 5000 mAh battery for a 6000 mAh unit. Wired charging is also touted to see a small improvement to 100 W from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra's 90 W. Wireless and reverse wireless charging remain at 80 W and 10 W respectively, however.
