Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs Surged Past DMarket in Daily Sales

Non-fungible token (NFT) collections from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) took the lead in daily sales on Wednesday with a total of around US$919,152.

This marks a significant surge past DMarket, which had been leading daily NFT sales for nearly a week, according to data from CryptoSlam.

BAYC, known for its profile picture (PFP) NFT collection, is now the second-highest selling NFT collection all-time with about US$3.18 billion in sales. Only Axie Infinity ranks higher with around US$4.27 billion.

DMarket from the Mythos blockchain slid down to the second spot on Wednesday despite a slight increase in sales, which rose to around US$698,815 from the previous day’s US$685,764.

Solana’s DeGods NFTs claimed the third spot in the daily rankings with sales of around US$651,574.

After holding the second spot for two consecutive days to open the week, Guild of Guardians Heroes NFTs on Immutable fell down to the fourth spot with about US$532,034 in daily sales.

Solana NFT collection Mad Lads came in fifth with around US$430,919 in daily sales.

Chain Performance

The Ethereum blockchain, where BAYC NFTs are hosted, led all blockchains with about US$4.74 million in NFT sales, a notable increase from the previous day’s US$3.28 million.

Solana was second with about US$2.8 million in NFT sales, up from the previous day’s US$1.67 million.

Mythos Chain is closing in on the US$500 million milestone, now just under US$6 million away.

Mythos was ranked fifth on Wednesday’s blockchain sales rank with almost US$700,000 in NFT sales.
