Hisense announces new cheaper HS series soundbars

Hisense has announced three new models for its HS soundbar series: the HS2000, the HS3100 and the HS5100. The company describes these new products as entry-level, each supporting Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Virtual:X. Plus, you can choose from six equalizer modes, such as movies, games and sports.

The HS2000 is a 2.1-channel soundbar with an up to 240W output but is relatively slim, measuring 800 x 60 x 105 mm (~31.5 x 2.4 x 4.1 inches). Next in the range is the HS3100 for a 3.1 channel sound, with a greater maximum output of 480W. This model has an additional integrated center speaker and an external Bluetooth subwoofer. At the top of the range is the HS5100, with two external wired rear speakers for 5.1 channel sound. The setup produces surround sound with an up to 540W output. All variants have an HDMI ARC, USB, Optical and AUX ports and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

You can now buy the Hisense HS3100 3.1Ch soundbar for $149.99/£249.00/€249.00. The Hisense HS5100 5.1Ch soundbar is available in the US for $179.99 and is expected to launch in the UK and the EU this autumn for £299/€299. The Hisense HS2000 2.1Ch soundbar will arrive in Europe at the same time for €129.00.
