Garmin’s upcoming Fenix E smartwatch has appeared in leaked images. Two versions of the wearable are shown in the pictures, both with a 47 mm watch face and a sport black strap. The only difference between the two versions seems to be the color of the watch casings, light silver and a darker metallic gray.
On top of that, the images of the rear of the watch, shared by Roland Quandt via WinFuture, reveal that it is water resistant for up to 100 m (~328 ft). Leaked pricing indicates that the Fenix E will be cheaper than the new Fenix 8. This could be down to the rumored Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) display, as seen on the Fenix 7, rather than the AMOLED confirmed for the Fenix 8. The WinFuture images also reveal another change for the E, the older Elevate 4 heart rate sensor; the Fenix 8 uses the fifth generation of the sensor, which brings skin temperature monitoring alongside other enhancements.
Presumably, the Fenix E has a stainless steel watch casing, and it appears to lack more premium finishes like a Sapphire Glass lens. The Garmin Fenix E is expected to arrive alongside the new Fenix 8 series wearables in the next few weeks.
